"To me being a proud Latina means acknowledging the sacrifices that my parents made to come to America, and doing the best to honor their work. I take great pride in my culture, my history and especially how our ancestors influence our Latino culture today.
This reminds me that we should never forget where we come from, especially because our Latino culture is very friendly, family is valued, and most importantly, being a Latino means that we are bi-national, bilingual and bi-cultural."
